Event accounting
The Accounting tab is the finance view: what came in gross, what came off the top, and what’s actually yours.
This tab is role-gated. If you don’t see it, your account doesn’t have accounting access, ask your account manager to adjust your permissions.
The eight widgets
| widget | meaning |
|---|---|
| Gross Sales | Total revenue from tickets and add-ons before any deductions |
| Commission | tixity’s platform commission for this event |
| Extra Fees | Any additional service fees layered on the ticket price |
| Complimentary | Face value of complimentary tickets issued (revenue foregone) |
| VAT | VAT collected on inclusive-priced tickets (only visible in VAT markets) |
| Venue Staff Fees | Staff cost share deducted for the venue |
| Branding Fees | Any branded merchandise or partnership fees applied |
| Net Sales | What lands in your account after every deduction above |
How to read it
- Gross Sales and Net Sales are your headline numbers, everything else explains the gap between them.
- If VAT is shown, all ticket prices on the storefront are VAT inclusive.
- Complimentary is displayed here as a monetary value (what the tickets would have sold for) plus a small percentage bar for how much of the gross that represents. High comp values are worth a conversation.
Reconciling with settlement
The numbers in Accounting reflect what tixity has recorded. Your actual settlement statement is issued separately by the finance team and may include timing adjustments (chargebacks, refunds, currency conversion). If the Net Sales figure here doesn’t match the settlement statement, contact your account manager, don’t rely on the Dashboard for the final number.
Tip: If a tab shows
No data available yet, that’s normal for events with no sales yet, the underlying breakdown queries only run once at least one paid order exists.
