Item details
Click any row on the roadmap to open a side panel with the full detail: title, status, priority, target date, description, and your quoted price when one applies.

Reading the price
The price cell on the row and the panel uses colour to signal where the estimate sits:
- A plain blue amount is an approved estimate, the work is committed at that price.
- An amber amount with a PENDING badge means the estimate is still awaiting your approval. Until you act on it, the work stays in our pipeline as proposed, not committed.
- FOC means we’re delivering this item at no charge.
What you can do from the panel
The actions available depend on where the item is in the workflow.
While a request is in Pending
You can edit it. Click Edit to update:
- Description — refine the context, add constraints, link to other tickets. Plain text or markdown.
- Priority — pick how urgent it is for your team. Click a selected priority again to clear it back to no-priority.
Save when you’re done. The change syncs immediately.
When an estimate is awaiting your approval
If we’ve sent you a draft estimate for the item, you’ll see two buttons: Approve estimate and Reject estimate. Either action asks for confirmation before it’s final.
You can also approve or reject from the Billing page — the two surfaces do the same thing.
Once a request moves past Pending
The description and priority lock — we’ve started work and the spec is now fixed. If you need to adjust something at this point, reach out to your account team.
How the date is shown
The target date column on the roadmap and in this panel reads from the underlying Linear field:
- Projects show their target date.
- Tasks show their due date.
If a row has no date set yet, the column reads blank. Once we set an agreed delivery date on our side, it appears here automatically.
Closing the panel
Close it with the ✕ button, the Esc key, or by clicking
outside. Your scroll position on the roadmap is preserved.
