Background image

Upload a floor plan or architectural drawing as a background layer. This helps you trace your venue layout accurately.

Uploading a background

1. Switch to Drawing mode (shortcut: 1)
2. Click the background tool in the sidebar (or switch to background mode via the mode selector)
3. The background menu panel will appear
4. Upload an image file (PNG, JPG, or SVG recommended)

Adjusting the background

Once uploaded, you can:

• reposition the image by dragging
• resize to match your canvas scale
• adjust opacity to make it easier to draw over
• lock to prevent accidental movement

Tips

Tip: Set the background opacity to 30-50% so you can clearly see both the floor plan and the elements you’re drawing on top of it.

Tip: Architectural floor plans in SVG format give the best results - they scale cleanly at any zoom level and keep sharp lines.

Warning: Background images are stored with the seatmap data. Large images (>5MB) may slow down loading. Optimize images before uploading.
